The first part of this manuscript details the economic side of administering the missions under the Pious Fund. The second part gives a brief historical resume of the Pious Fund from 1697-1817. Jose Castillo concludes with an urgent plea for the establishment of new missions in upper California and classifies the missions under the Pious Fund according to size.
